NURSING FACULTY                                                         

Description: The Derry Patterson Wingo School of Nursing at Charleston Southern University invites applications for four faculty positions for a hire date of August 1, 2012.  Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications: Candidates must have at least a masters degree in nursing with a doctorate preferred, at least five years full time direct patient care experience, current clinical competence in one of the following specialty areas: Medical/Surgical Nursing, Maternal/Child Nursing, Community Health Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.  Candidates must have an eagerness to work with beginning nursing students.  Candidates with a masters degree in nursing must be enrolled in doctoral study or committed to begin study.  The desirable candidate will have: a  doctorate in nursing or related field; teaching experience in generic baccalaureate nursing programs; and be able to supervise students in a specialty clinical area.
