Enrollment Counselor

The Office of Enrollment Services has a vacancy for the position of Enrollment Counselor. This position requires an articulate, confident individual who meets the public well in both one-on-one and group situations. Knowledge of the admissions and financial aid process is desired. The successful candidate must be able to work comfortably with potential students and parents. This position requires some evening and weekend work and extensive seasonal travel. The candidate must possess a reliable personal vehicle. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a working knowledge of Windows and MS Office products is required. Director of Financial Aid

Description: Charleston Southern University invites applications for a Director of Financial Aid.

The Office of Enrollment Management has a vacancy for a Director of Financial Aid. This position reports to the Vice-President for Enrollment Management with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with all federal, state and institutional financial aid regulations, policies and procedures, providing direct supervision of financial aid staff, responsible for the planning and implementation of departmental goals as they relate to financial aid, managing the financial aid database, and counseling students and parents in the financial aid process.

Experience with MS Office and Windows is required. Successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Related post-secondary education and/or related work experience is required.

MBA Administrator

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Answers telephone and email inquiries about the MBA program from prospective students. Meets periodically with individual prospects to answer questions about the program.

2. Works with Graduate Enrollment Counselor to assist where necessary in recruitment and admission of prospective MBA students.

3. Contact and register new students who’ve applied and been admitted to the MBA program, and when necessary, refer them to the MBA Director.

4. Assist in advising activities of current MBA students by handling routine requests, registering returning students for upcoming semesters, maintaining waiting lists, and forwarding unusual requests to the MBA Director when appropriate.

5. Assist in the retention of MBA students by identifying and contacting current MBA students to insure they are registered for classes in the next semester.

6. Assist the MBA Director in preparing for MBA Orientation (BUSI 600) classes, School of Business Newsletters, MBA Networking Socials, and MBA Alumni summer letters.

7. Assist the MBA Director in preparing routine administrative reports and ad hoc reports, assist in assessment activities, and assist on other projects as assigned by the MBA Director.

8. From time-to-time will assist other departments in the performance of their duties as requested by the Dean of the School of Business and/or the office of the VP for Academic Affairs.

Accounting Technician II
The Business office is accepting applications for an Accounting Technician II position. Applicants must have a solid knowledge of accounting procedures, data entry and customer service experience, and excellent communication skills. The ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects at once, exercise tact in a fast-paced student centered environment and work independently, as well as in a team, is essential. Loan experience and prior work experience in a higher education setting is highly desirable. An Associate’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience is required. This position will remain open until filled.
