Zeta Chapter of South
Carolina
The
Behavioral Sciences Department of Charleston Southern University
is proud to have its own chapter of AKD. It
is a true honor for sociology students to be chosen as a
member of our "Zeta of South Carolina Chapter." Students
are eligible for selection based on the following criteria. Students
must:
- Be an officially declared sociology major or demonstrate
a serious interest in sociology within an official program
of sociology at CSU;
- Be at least a junior by CSU standards;
- Have accumulated an overall grade point average of 3.0;
- Have maintained a 3.0 grade point average in sociology
courses taken at CSU; and
- Have completed at least four regular courses in sociology.
AKD
is NOT a club or campus organization that meets, elects
officers, or conducts any business. Once
a student is inducted into AKD, s/he is a member for life
with a one-time payment of dues.
AKD is an excellent credential on your resume
as it symbolizes academic excellence in the sociology major
and in general.
