Application Procedure
- Students should submit applications for the internship program to Dr. Susan Styles, 104 Facutly Suites by November 1 or April 1 of the major semester prior to the one when the internship will be done.
- Applications will be reviewed by the Department Chair and other department faculty. Decisions about student acceptance will be made prior to preregistration, and will be based on meeting prerequisites, the program having an enrollment slot available, the student's compatibility with an available site and completion of an interview with the faculty coordinators and the site supervisor that will determine the student's suitability for a particular internship experience.
- Once accepted, a written agreement (also signed by the site supervisor) will be signed by the student and the department. The department will then officially register the student for the internship.
- Students will receive an orientation including a description of duties and tasks required of them during the internship.
