Essays that are not written at a college level, that are incomplete, insubstantial and contain grammatical and spelling errors may be grounds for not being accepted for an internship. II. Eligibility

Internship applicants must be sociology or psychology majors. Minors and students outside of the department are not eligible for internship. Sociology majors should have completed Sociology 201 and nine additional hours in sociology of which six must be upper level sociology courses completed in the department. Psychology majors should have completed Psychology 200 and nine additional hours in psychology of which six must be upper level psychology courses completed in the department. All applicants must have a 2.75 GPA overall and a 2.75 in the major and must be juniors (61 hours or more) prior to the start of the internship.
