Criminal Justice

Entrance Requirements:

Each applicant must have a baccalaureate degree, from a regionally accredited college or university.

The degree should be in criminal justice, or a related field consisting of at least 9 hours of criminal justice coursework.

Candidates without the required criminal justice hours can be accepted on a provisional basis. In their first semester of graduate work, they must complete CRIM 590, Selected Readings in Criminal Justice, with a minimum grade of B.

Application Procedure:

Applicants must submit the following materials for regular admission:
Completed graduate application with $30 application fee.

Scores from Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller's Analogy Test (MAT).
Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work from an accredited college or university.

Two letters of recommendation from individuals who have knowledge of the student's work or academic experience.

Scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Miller's Analogy Test (MAT) that meet one of the following formulas:

1. 450 times the undergraduate grade point average plus total score of verbal, quantitative, and analytical measures of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is equal to or greater than a total of 2500 points.

2. 15 times the undergraduate grade point average plus Miller Analogies Test (MAT) score is equal to or greater than a totoal of 80 points.
