Mission Statement
The
Charleston Southern University Honors Program recognizes
students who show superior academic ability. The Program
combines academics with a variety of cultural and social
activities. The Program is intended to:
- promote
academic excellence through one-on-one and small group
instruction;
- provide
teamwork, leadership, and character-building situations
in and out of the classroom;
- supplement
traditional classroom learning with diverse cultural
and social experiences; and
- prepare
students for professional life through advanced research
and internship opportunities.
The
Honors program encourages creative thinking, productive
dialogue, and personal growth. The requirements of the
Honors Program are designed to accomplish these goals.
