An MBA is rapidly becoming the necessary requirement for job security
and career advancement. In today's society, there is an increasing
need for individuals who understand today's global economy and have
strong problem-solving, communications, and interpersonal skills.
CSU's Master of Business Administration degree is designed to provide
students with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of the
changing forces within the business community and the effects of
global competition and international business relationships. CSU's
MBA allows a student to increase his or her value to an organization
and to improve the overall productivity of that organization.
The MBA program consists of either 30 semester hours of graduate
work for a general MBA or 36 hours of graduate work for an MBA with
an emphasis. There are six required undergraduate prerequisite courses.
An emphasis is available in the following areas: Accounting, Finance,
Information Systems, and Organizational Development.
The MBA program is designed with working adults in mind. Most classes
meet in the evenings, and several classes are available in a distance
learning format. The cost of CSU's MBA program compares very favorably
with other fully accredited MBA programs offered in the low country
and also those offered over the Internet.
