The induction ceremony for Sigma Beta Delta held on April 8, 2011, recognized students for their academic excellence. To qualify for an invitation, students must be in the top 20% of their junior, senior or second year MBA classes. Twenty-three students, who had attained superior academic records in the CSU School of Business, were honored with a dinner prior to the ceremony. Kevin Alford, President of Beyond Wealth, LLC, an independent, fee-based planning and asset management firm, was inducted as an honorary member. Kevin, who is a CSU alumnus, was the guest speaker for the event.
Sigma Beta Delta is the International Honor Society in Business, Management, and Administration and installed its first chapter in 1994. It now has 330 chapters with a total of over 50,000 members. The Charleston Southern Chapter was established in 1999.
