Meet the Director

Mrs. Marsha Humphreys is the Director of Teaching Fellows Program in Education at Charleston Southern University. Mrs. Humphreys earned a bachelor of science degree in English and social studies from the University of Central Arkansas and a master of library and information science from the University of South Carolina.  She has also completed graduate work at Marshall University.  She currently holds South Carolina teaching certifications in secondary English and social studies and in library science K-12. 

Mrs. Humphreys has taught high school English in South Carolina and West Virginia and has been a library media specialist at West Florence High School in Florence, SC, and at Alice Birney Middle School in Charleston, SC.   Additionally, she has taught a course in MS Publisher for Francis Marion University.  She is an avid user and advocate of technology in the classroom and has provided technology support to teachers in her schools. 
     
Mrs. Humphreys and her husband Jay moved to the Charleston area in 2006 and are blessed with one daughter and two grandsons. They are active members of Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville.
