Percussion

 

The Percussion Program at Charleston Southern University is led by adjunct Percussion Professor Dr. Michael Haldeman. Opportunities for percussionists include Percussion Ensemble, Percussion chamber music, and private lessons. Students interested in studying percussion at Charleston Southern should contact Dr. Michael Haldeman at michaelhaldeman@mac.com.

 

Marching Percussion

The Pride of the Lowcountry Drumline is a corps-style marching unit that performs with the Marching Bucs. The drumline includes both battery and front ensemble instruments, and is open to any CSU student, along with students enrolled at Trident Tech through cross-registration. Students interested in marching in the drumline should contact Dr. Haldeman or Dr. Holland for more information.

Audition dates are held periodically from late spring until early August, and students should prepare the exercise packet below.
