Profile: Dr. William P. Bowers
Dr. Bill Bowers is a professor of business administration in the School of Business at Charleston Southern University. He holds a bachelor of science in industrial management from Georgia Tech, a master of business administration from Western Carolina University and a doctor of business administration from Louisiana Tech University. He served as director of the MBA program at Charleston Southern from 2002-2009.
Prior to coming to Charleston Southern, he served in the U.S. Army, worked as an accountant/accounting manager for Tenneco Oil Company and worked as a salesperson/sales manager for several computer software companies.
Dr. Bowers teaches courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He teaches various management courses, business statistics and the personal selling and sales management course. His main areas of interest include the social responsibility of business, the role of organizational culture, the importance of person-org culture fit and integrating faith into the workplace.
