Tornado: or tornado warning - go to the center of the first floor halls, or bathrooms on the first floor. Stay there until the all clear is given.
Earthquake: if at all possible, leave the building and go to your Safe Area (safe areas are listed on the fire safety page). If not, stand in doorways until the shock is over, then proceed to your Safe Area. Beware of aftershocks.
Power Failure: check first to determine if the power failure is campus-wide. If it is campus-wide, stay where you are or proceed with caution to the nearest public lounge area:
Women's Halls - residents to Little John Parlor,
Russell Halls - residents to Russell Lounge on your floor,
Quad - residents to your courtyard.
Your RA will have a flashlight if you need assistance.
If power failure is not campus-wide: notify the RLC, RD, or RA on duty.
During all emergencies, housing personnel will be present and ready to assist you to ensure safety.
