Residence Halls

Quad 1 is used for the remainder of the freshman that do not live in Russell West, transfer students, and upperclassmen once Quad 2 and 3 are filled.

Quad 2 is strictly upperclassmen housing. Quad 2 has many features that are open the entire student body of CSU. There is a sand volleyball court in the middle of the courtyard. In addition, Quad 2 also offers a co-ed visitation study and social lounge. The lounge is open almost every night of the semester from 6pm to 12am. These lounges are supervised for residents' safety by 1 or 2 members of the Residence Life and Security Staff.

Quad 3 houses upperclassmen and married students. CSU offers a limited number of married housing suites, for information on these suites please contact Don Little at (843) 863-7102.

Russell West is freshman male housing and Russell East houses Freshman Females. Each of the buildings is staffed with Residence Life Staff members who supervise the buildings in addition to meeting the needs of freshman students. These dormitories are a short walk away from the cafeteria.

Russell East and West possesses co-ed social and study lounges. Trained staff members supervise these lounges for the safety of our students. The first floor of Russell West also contains the Residence Life and Campus Safety Offices.

The breezeway connecting Russell West to Russell East houses the CSU tutorial center. This center is open for student use until 12am. Students can use this area for individual or group study as well as receive free peer tutoring. All tutors are trained and approved by the student success department and the academic department head of the related subject area. This is a great feature that really makes a difference in the academic success of our students. Contact the Student Success Center for more information.

Women's North and Women's South are primarily upperclassmen housing. Although a few freshmen will be assigned to this building, most of the residence will be upperclassmen. Both of these dorms have a co-ed social lounge on its second floor and a co-ed study lounge on the third. Residence Life staff members monitor all of the lounges for our students safety.

Connecting the Womens North and South we have Little John Parlor. This is a spacious co-ed visitation area that is used for studying and social purposes. Many Residence Life Programs are held in this area as well.
