Dr. Robert E. Ratliff | Dean of Students
Message from the Dean of Students:
As Dean of Students, it is my privilege to lead the Student Services Division at one of the finest Christian universities in America. Student Services is involved in virtually all aspects of campus life, including residence life, campus safety, counseling services, international student services, student activities, recreational services, life skills, multicultural affairs, new student orientation, and the freshman year experience class.
A professional staff of servant-leaders is committed to providing quality services to maximize each student's educational experience. The mission of the Student Services Division is to provide leadership for all out-of-classroom student experiences, maximizing student-learning activities by integrating the University's Life Preparation Concepts of leadership, Christian values and ethics, service, communication, and wellness.
Biography:
Dr. Ratliff has been Dean of Students since May 2004. He previously served the University as Assistant Dean for Counseling and Disability Services, Director of the University Counseling Center, and adjunct professor of psychology. Dr. Ratliff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from State University of New York, Albany, a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and a Doctor of Education degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Sarasota. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a nationally Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist. Prior to joining CSU in August 2000, Dr. Ratliff completed a 20-year active duty career in the United States Navy.
