Dr. Harriette Magee
1988 Excellence in Teaching Award Recipient

Dr. Harriette Magee came to Charleston Southern University in 1984. She served as fulltime professor of psychology, and later served as Chair of the Psychology Department and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Magee's area of special interest is in child psychology. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, her Master's degree from Gearge Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee, and her Doctor of Education degree from Vanderbilt University.

Dr. Magee was the very first recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award in 1988.
