Q-Commons is a platform of national and local speakers on various issues. Similar to TED Talks, Q Commons brings the Q national event experience to your community. This unique event combines three nationally recognized speakers with three locally curated presentations, leveraging Q’s model and creating national connectivity. Participants will not only benefit from hearing a shared vision across American cities, but will be empowered to advance the common good in their local context. Christian Higher Education in the 21st Century

The Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership will host Dr. David Dockery. Dr. Dockery will present three lectures on Christian Higher Education in the 21st Century. Lecture topics and times are as follows:

  • Monday, February 2 (7:00-8:15 pm) Reclaiming the Christian Intellectual Tradition
  • Tuesday, February 3 (9:30-10:45 am) Spiritual, Theological, and Character Formation
  • Tuesday, February 3 (11:00 am-12:15 pm) Exploring Current Challenges and Opportunities


Leader in Me Symposium
February 25-27, 2015

In 2014, 700 educators from 10 states and the Bahamas gathered at Charleston Southern University as we hosted our first Leader In Me Symposium (based on Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®) in Partnership with Franklin Covey Education and Western Region Education Service Alliance. The event will be held in the Lightsey Chapel Auditorium.


2nd Annual Kingdom Business Conference
March 20-21, 2015

Call2BusinessBuilding on the Whitfield Center's relationship with Call2business, this conference will focus on what God is doing in and through businesses both in Charleston and around the world. Presenters, breakout leaders and most of those who attend will be practitioners who will share their first-hand experience with God using their companies and expertise to impact the world for His Kingdom.
