Faith & Works Connection

November 13, 2014 | 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. | East Cooper Baptist Church

The Faith & Works Connection event will be held on Thursday, November 13 at East Cooper Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant. Attendees will receive a deeper understanding of faith and work and be equipped with biblical principles to be a faithful steward of your whole life. By this, you can help your community experience freedom, fulfillment, and flourishing, bringing glory to God and advancing His kingdom. The event will include a Faith & Work Ministry Expo where you'll have the opportunity to interact with others in the Charleston community who seek to help people integrate their Christian faith with their daily work. The evening will also include panel discussions with speakers Hugh Whelchel, Caleb Yaryan, and Jamie Jordan. The Faith & Works Connection event is open to professionals in all sectors - business, technology, healthcare, education, government, non-profit, etc. If you are seeking to gain a better understanding of how to integrate faith, work, and whole-life stewardship, you will benefit from attending this event

The Lens: Dr. David Dockery

Christian Higher Education in the 21st Century
February 2-3, 2015

The LensThe Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership will host Dr. David Dockery. Dr. Dockery will present three lectures on Christian Higher Education in the 21st Century. Lecture topics and times are as follows:

  • Monday, February 2 (7:00-8:15 pm) Reclaiming the Christian Intellectual Tradition
  • Tuesday, February 3 (9:30-10:45 am) Spiritual, Theological, and Character Formation
  • Tuesday, February 3 (11:00 am-12:15 pm) Exploring Current Challenges and Opportunities

Leader in Me Symposium
February 25-27, 2015

In 2014, 700 educators from 10 states and the Bahamas gathered at Charleston Southern University as we hosted our first Leader In Me Symposium (based on Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People®) in Partnership with Franklin Covey Education and Western Region Education Service Alliance. The event will be held in the Lightsey Chapel Auditorium.

2nd Annual Kingdom Business Conference
March 20-21, 2015

Call2BusinessBuilding on the Whitfield Center's relationship with Call2business, this conference will focus on what God is doing in and through businesses both in Charleston and around the world. Presenters, breakout leaders and most of those who attend will be practitioners who will share their first-hand experience with God using their companies and expertise to impact the world for His Kingdom.

2015 Southeast Regional Conference of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International
April 17-18, 2015

FCCIFCCI returns to the Whitfield Center to gather FCCI members, as well as other Christian business leaders in the Southeastern United States, to equip and encourage them to "operate their businesses and conduct their personal lives in accordance with biblical principles."
