Christina Sinisi

FACULTY BIO

Christina Sinisi is a professor of psychology at Charleston Southern University.  She received her bachelor of science degree with a major in psychology and emphases in creative writing and biology from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.  She received her master's and doctorate of philosophy with a focus on social and personality development.  She teaches a variety of courses at CSU, including the three developmental courses (Child, Adolescence and Psychology of Adulthood), Research Methods, History and Systems, Positive Psychology and Psychology of Religious Experience.  Her scholarly interests include parenting and religious predictors of volunteerism, individual goals for parenting and religious coping.

Dr. Sinisi has also served as the Psi Chi advisor for more than a decade.  During that time, she has served on the Southeastern Regional Steering Committee, National Leadership Council and National Scholarship and Grants Committee.  She also acts as a reviewer for the Eye on Psi Chi and various textbook publishers.  Finally, she received the Southeastern Psi Chi Advisor of the Year award in 2004 and 2009.

Dr. Sinisi invites present, past and future students to contact her with questions about her courses, becoming a member of her research team, and/or Psi Chi.  She is excited to work with students to discover and pursue their goals in the field of psychology.
