Daniel D. Fultz, PhD, serves as Associate Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Chair of Communication and Media Arts and Professor of Communication. His teaching applies multiple communication theories across the spectrum of professions within the discipline, including radio and television broadcasting, journalism and public relations. Additionally, he teaches courses in interpersonal communication, family communication, public speaking, theory and research methods. His CV includes courses in most areas of communication, as well as in business, sport science, global economics and degree completion programs.
Dr. Fultz’s career in higher education began in 1991 in the areas of educational media, distant learning and information technologies. He began teaching college courses in 1995, accepting his first full-time faculty position in 2003. Prior to his work at CSU, he advised student-produced news in multiple formats, including radio broadcast, newspaper, magazine and online news sources. Dr. Fultz has worked in public relations, website design and served on dozens of boards in a variety of settings. As a corporate trainer, he helped hundreds of professionals at all levels of organizations to build and maintain effective and meaningful relationships through interpersonal and digital interaction.
