David Floyd is an Associate Professor of English and the Bridge Program. He is the author of Street Urchins, Sociopaths, and Degenerates: Orphans of Late-Victorian and Edwardian Fiction, and has presented conference papers on medieval, Victorian, and Gothic fiction in the US, Scotland, England, and Finland. His current research projects include discourses of identity, imperialism, and the development of psychology and historiography. He earned his PhD from the University of Stirling. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Cultural History through the University of Turku, Finland.
