Dr. Kate Hendricks Thomas earned her Ph.D. in Health Promotion and her M.S. in Health Management. She is a teacher, speaker, writer, and military behavioral health researcher passionate about issues of military-to-civilian transition.
Dr. Thomas, also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, helps businesses and military veterans optimize their performance through resilient leadership training. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals like the Military Behavioral Health, the Journal of Environmental Psychology, and Advances in Social Work.
Dr. Thomas is the author of Brave, Strong, & True: The Modern Warriors’ Battle for Balance and co-editor of Bulletproofing the Psyche, an anthology on mental fitness training for military-connected personnel coming soon from ABC-CLIO/Praeger Publishing.
Dr. Hendricks Thomas is an advocate for making wellness accessible, and she loves working with non-profits creatively improving the reintegration process for military veterans. She volunteers for advocacy organizations like the Women in the Service Change Initiative (WiSCI).
