Wanda Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Charleston Southern University.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Education with emphasis in worksite wellness and health promotion from the University of Florida in 1991.
One year later Dr. Taylor returned to school and in 1995 received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clemson University. After working over a decade in the clinical setting she returned to school completing her PhD in Nursing Science (2012) from the Medical College of Georgia (now Augusta University). Dr. Taylor’s clinical expertise includes hospice and palliative care, community nursing, and health promotion.
Dr. Taylor currently teaches in the undergraduate nursing program at CSU and has teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. She is a current member of Sigma Theta Tau International, American Nurses Association, and Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association. Her research interests include social determinants of health, health disparities, and health promotion in underserved populations.
