Assistant Campus Minister
Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership
Brittany Gordon serves as the assistant campus minister at Charleston Southern University. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Brittany began her journey to South Carolina in 2004 as a student at the University of South Carolina. While at USC, she surrendered her life to the Lord and began serving as a student leader with Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). Upon graduation, Brittany pursued a career in marketing in Richmond, but her love for South Carolina and her dream of living in the Lowcountry brought her to Charleston in 2011. Prior to working in vocational ministry, Brittany worked in the event and wedding planning industry while continuing to serve in college ministry with The Well (a college ministry associated with Seacoast Church). In 2014, Brittany left her career in the hospitality industry and helped launch a church plant in Zurich, Switzerland. This opportunity was the start of her ministry career. Upon her return to the states, she worked as assistant youth minister at St. Michael’s Church in Charleston, South Carolina, prior to coming to Charleston Southern University in June 2017. As the assistant campus minister at CSU, Brittany is able to live out her calling and passion to see college students come to know the Father and His great love for them. Her greatest joy is to see young people know their identity in Christ and experience the freedom and abundant life found in Him alone. Claiming the promise found in John 11:40, “Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you, if you believed you would see the glory of God,’” Brittany delights with great hope and expectation to see the glory of God revealed at CSU for generations to come.
