The mission of the School of Education is to prepare professional educators who, guided by a strong sense of community and the integration of their faith, are academically strong, skilled and morally committed to educating in a wide range of culturally diverse learning environments. The School of Education is nationally accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

We offer a liberal arts core curriculum, professional education courses, clinical settings, content specialty courses and other extracurricular candidate experiences including Future Teachers Society, service projects, mission programs and more.

Call for Third Party Comments NCATE 2015 

The School of Education at Charleston Southern University is hosting an accreditation visit by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in March 2015. Interested parties are invited to submit third-party comments to the visiting team.

Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party's relationship to the EPP (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates).
