Profile: Celeste McMaster

Assistant Professor, English Department


CelesteCeleste McMaster specializes in 19th century British literature, with secondary emphases in 20th century British and creative writing. She earned her PhD from the University of South Carolina and her MA from East Carolina University. Her main areas of interest include Victorian Literature, Romantic Literature, Contemporary Literature and Creative Writing. She has published fiction and poetry in Short Story, The Dos Passos Review, Mslexia, New Delta Review, The Chaffey Review, Arkansas Review and Fractured West. She is a faculty co-advisor to Sefer, CSU's student literary magazine and holds memberships in Modern Language Association, Nineteenth Century Studies Association, North American Victorian Studies Association, South Carolina Modern Language Association and the South Carolina Poetry Society. Dr. McMaster joined the CSU faculty in 2009.
