Profile: Jonathan Sircy

Assistant Professor, English Department

JonathanJonathan Sircy earned his PhD from the University of South Carolina and his MA from the University of Kentucky. He specializes in British early modern literature, with a secondary emphasis in film. His main areas of interest include Shakespeare, early modern dramatists who aren't Shakespeare, early modern poets who aren't Shakespeare, films that adapt works by Shakespeare and films that don't have the slightest thing to do with Shakespeare. He silently regrets that there were no early modern films. He has written about Shakespeare, Spenser, Milton and David Foster Wallace, and his work has appeared in Renaissance Papers, Milton Quarterly and Shakespeare Bulletin. Dr. Sircy joined the CSU faculty in 2011.
