Applied Science and Technology Full Text (H.W. Wilson on EBSCOHost)   DISCUS icon
Includes coverage of a wide variety of applied science specialties, such as acoustics, aeronautics, civil engineering, computers, informatics, neural networks, nuclear engineering, and much more. Full text of articles is available from more than 220 periodicals dating back to 1997, with indexing and abstracts for nearly 800 core English-language, scientific and technical publications back to 1983.

Contains the latest information and current trends in high technology. This database offers full text for nearly 300 publications and indexing and abstracts for nearly 450 publications.

Credo Reference   DISCUS icon
Provides access to more than 600 subject-specific encyclopedias, biographies, chronologies, dictionaries, and reference titles from over 80 publishers, covering every major subject. Offers over 200,000 images and audio files and nearly 100 videos. Over 10,000 Topic Pages present and organize a variety of information resources on a subject and act as a starting point for research.

A growing collection of over 100,000 electronic books in a wide range of academic subject areas with unlimited, multi-user access. Ebooks may be viewed online in any browser without downloading or installing anything to your computer. If you prefer to read a book offline, you can download up to 10 entire books for 14 days using Adobe Digital Editions (free). Individual chapters can also be downloaded in PDF format. Login to your personal account to take advantage of additional functionalities including setting a default citation format, highlighting and note taking within the text, adding hyperlinks to the text, saving books to a personal bookshelf, downloading content for offline use, and access to iOS and Android mobile apps. Off-campus users are automatically logged in to their personal accounts. On-campus users will be prompted to login when they need to use one of the additional functions or when they click the Sign In link. EBSCO eBook Collection
A collection of over 21,000 electronic books available in full text online. These titles may be searched in the library's catalog or directly in the EBSCO database. Formerly known as NetLibrary, titles in this collection cover all subject areas.

The electronic books included in this collection are provided by the CSU Library and are in the categories of: Arts, Biography, Business, Education, Environment, History, Law, Literature, Medicine, Multicultural Studies, Nation and World, Religion, Science, and Social Science. General OneFile (Gale InfoTrac)
A general database that contains full text and indexed articles from magazines, newspapers, books and journals in most disciplines ranging from architecture to biology and history to mathematics.

General Science Full Text (H.W. Wilson on EBSCOHost)
Subject coverage includes astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation, health and medicine, oceanography, physics, zoology and much more. Provides full text from more than 100 periodicals dating as far back as 1995, in addition to indexing and abstracts for nearly 300 periodicals dating back to 1984.

HathiTrust     FREE
HathiTrust is a growing digital repository of books and journals from a group of large research libraries. It includes both in copyright and public domain materials digitized by Google, the Internet Archive, and Microsoft, as well as through in-house initiatives at HathiTrust partner libraries. The full text of all materials is searchable by everyone, and the full text of materials in the public domain are openly viewable by everyone. To limit your search to the approximately 30% of the HathiTrust collection which is in the public domain, simply check the "Full view only" box on the search screen. Additional options are available for non-partners by creating a Friend Account. Hathi (pronounced hah-tee) is the Hindi word for elephant, an animal highly regarded for its memory, wisdom, and strength.

An authoritative database continaing peer-reviewed journals in the most promising areas of biotechnology, biomedical research/life sciences, clinical medicine and surgery, and law.

MasterFILE Premier (EBSCOHost)   DISCUS icon
Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags.

New York Times
Selected full text of the New York Times from 1985 to the present is available in several of the library's databases, with complete digital coverage from 2008 to three months ago available in ProQuest Digital Microfilm. In addition, the library keeps the last 8 weeks of the newspaper in paper format, and has 1851 to 2009 on microfilm. To locate the correct resource for the date you need, see this list.

Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOHost)   DISCUS icon
Includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles. In addition, the database features more than 857,000 television and radio news transcripts.

Newstand (Gale InfoTrac)
Provides access to more than 2,700 national, international, state and local newspapers with selective coverage between 1980 and 2012.

Intended for public, academic, and high school libraries, Points of View is designed to assist researchers in understanding the full scope of controversial subjects. ProQuest Digital Microfilm: New York Times
This resource provides cover-to-cover full image access to the New York Times from 2008 to three months ago for an online experience that resembles paging through the newspaper in print or viewing it on microfilm. Users may crop, zoom, or rotate page images and then print, email, or save in PDF format. Includes research journals published on behalf of more than 245 scholarly and professional societies.
