Databases and Journal Indexes Academic OneFile (Gale InfoTrac)A general database that contains full text and indexed articles from magazines, newspapers, books and journals in most disciplines Academic Search Complete (EBSCOHost)  A general, multi-disciplinary database that contains full text and indexed articles from magazines, newspapers, books and journals ACS Web Editions (American Chemical Society) Published by the American Chemical Society, ACS Web Editions contains nearly 50 full-text journals and magazines in chemistry Applied Science and Technology Full Text (H.W. Wilson on EBSCOHost)  Includes coverage of a wide variety of applied science specialties, such as acoustics, aeronautics, civil engineering, computers, informatics, neural networks, nuclear engineering, and much more. Full text of articles is available from more than 220 periodicals dating back to 1997, with indexing and abstracts for nearly 800 core English-language, scientific and technical publications back to 1983. Credo Reference Provides access to more than 600 subject-specific encyclopedias, biographies, chronologies, dictionaries, and reference titles from over 80 publishers, covering every major subject. Offers over 200,000 images and audio files and nearly 100 videos. Over 10,000 Topic Pages present and organize a variety of information resources on a subject and act as a starting point for research. EBSCO eBook Collection A collection of over 21,000 electronic books available in full text online. These titles may be searched in the library's catalog or directly in the EBSCO database. Formerly known as NetLibrary, titles in this collection cover all subject areas. Gale Virtual Reference Library (Gale Group) The electronic books included in this collection are provided by the CSU Library and are in the categories of: Arts, Biography, Business, Education, Environment, History, Law, Literature, Medicine, Multicultural Studies, Nation and World, Religion, Science, and Social Science. General OneFile (Gale InfoTrac) A general database that contains full text and indexed articles from magazines, newspapers, books and journals in most disciplines ranging from architecture to biology and history to mathematics. General Science Full Text (H.W. Wilson on EBSCOHost) Subject coverage includes astronomy, biology, botany, chemistry, conservation, health and medicine, oceanography, physics, zoology and much more. Provides full text from more than 100 periodicals dating as far back as 1995, in addition to indexing and abstracts for nearly 300 periodicals dating back to 1984. JSTOR An archive of scholarly journals that offers high-resolution, scanned images of journal issues and pages as they were originally designed, printed, and illustrated. The journals archived in JSTOR span many disciplines. Because of JSTOR's archival mission, there is a gap, typically from 1 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the back issues available in JSTOR. LexisNexis: Academic Provides access to full-text legal, news, business, and medical publications. Includes law review articles and more than 300 legal newspapers, magazines, and newsletters. Provides access to the Shepard's Citations service for all federal and states court cases back to 1789, European Union law from the CELEX database, and international case law from a number of other countries. Includes national and regional newspapers, wire services, transcripts of television and radio broadcasts, international news, and non-English language sources. Provides detailed company information and financial performance measures to identify and compare companies matching specific criteria. Includes Company Dossier, Hoover's Company Reports, Disclosure reports, Standard & Poor's Corporate Descriptions, and SEC filings. MasterFILE Premier (EBSCOHost) Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for nearly 1,700 periodicals with full-text information dating as far back as 1975. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Premier contains full text for nearly 500 reference books and over 164,400 primary source documents, as well as an Image Collection of over 592,000 photos, maps & flags. New York Times Selected full text of the New York Times from 1985 to the present is available in several of the library's databases, with complete digital coverage from 2008 to three months ago available in ProQuest Digital Microfilm. In addition, the library keeps the last 8 weeks of the newspaper in paper format, and has 1851 to 2009 on microfilm. To locate the correct resource for the date you need, see this list. Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOHost) Includes more than 860 full-text newspapers, providing more than 35 million full-text articles. In addition, the database features more than 857,000 television and radio news transcripts. Newstand (Gale InfoTrac) Provides access to more than 2,700 national, international, state and local newspapers with selective coverage between 1980 and 2012. Oxford Reference Online Premium Combines language and subject reference works together to form a large reference library. It contains over 100 dictionary, language reference, and subject reference works. Points of View Reference Center (EBSCOHost) Intended for public, academic, and high school libraries, Points of View is designed to assist researchers in understanding the full scope of controversial subjects. High school and undergraduate students can use Points of View as a guide to debate, developing arguments, writing position papers, and for development of critical thinking skills. Each Points of View essay includes a series of questions and additional material to generate further thought. Also included are thousands of supporting articles from the world’s top political and societal publications. ProQuest Digital Microfilm: New York Times This resource provides cover-to-cover full image access to the New York Times from 2008 to three months ago for an online experience that resembles paging through the newspaper in print or viewing it on microfilm. Users may crop, zoom, or rotate page images and then print, email, or save in PDF format. In addition, the library provides access to selected full text of the New York Times from 1985 to the present in several other databases, keeps the last 8 weeks of the newspaper in paper format, and has 1851 to 2009 on microfilm. Science Reference Center (EBSCOHost) A comprehensive research database that provides easy access to a multitude of full text science-oriented content. Contains full text for nearly 640 science encyclopedias, reference books, periodicals, etc. Topics covered include: biology, chemistry, earth and space science, environmental science, health and medicine, history of science, life science, physics, science and society, science as inquiry, scientists, technology and wildlife.
