Student Group Study Room Policies
Who May Use Student Group Study Rooms
- Student Group Study Rooms are for the exclusive use of Charleston Southern University students with a valid CSU ID card for course related, library purposes only.
- Student Group Study Rooms may not be used for clubs, recreation, regularly scheduled meetings or for campus departmental business, including meetings with classroom instructors for regular office hours.

Policies for All Student Group Study Rooms
- Student Group Study Room use is scheduled in 2-hour blocks. Additional blocks may be added if available. Otherwise, only one booking per student per day is allowed.
- Rooms left unoccupied for more than 10 minutes will be forfeited.
- Occupancy in each group study room is limited by the number of chairs already in the room. Chairs may not be added or removed from the rooms.
- Group Study takes priority over individual users. Individual students may use a group study room, but will be asked to leave when a group is present.
- Conversation should be held to a reasonable level, as rooms are not soundproof.
- Rooms must be left in a clean and orderly condition. The Library is not responsible for personal property left in rooms.
- Anyone failing to abide by the policies governing the use of the Student Group Study Rooms may be denied future use of the rooms.
- Names of individuals who have checked out Student Group Study Rooms will not be divulged.
- The following activities are not allowed in the Student Group Study Rooms: painting, practicing music, partying, holding office hours, classes, or activities that are disruptive to others.
- No food, uncovered drinks or tobacco of any kind may be used in the Student Group Study Rooms.

Sign-in/out Procedures
- Check-in at the AV Media desk - CSU ID will be held by AV staff while room is in use. AV Media staff will assign and unlock study room door.
- Remember to pick-up CSU ID from staff member at AV Media desk when leaving study room.
