The
purpose of Campus Ministries can be understood as a journey
of reaching, raising and releasing college students with
a biblical foundation of salvation, the power of God's
word and service.
We are not ashamed to REACH the students with the gospel
(Romans 1:16). Campus Ministries reaches out to the students
through our weekly worship service, Elevate, special events
and training programs. This outreach extends from the students
to the community through events and acts of service. Our
prayer is that every student has the opportunity to hear
and receive the gospel. A new life in Christ is the most
valuable thing anyone can obtain!
When training for righteousness, the men and women of
God are RAISED and equipped in the scriptures (2 Timothy
3:16-17). To allow students the opportunity to grow in
the Holy Word of God, we have 5 organized ministries (Campus
Outreach, Campus Crusade for Christ, Baptist Collegiate
Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Prison
Fellowship) on campus that lead small groups, worship services
and attend spiritual growth conferences. Our Resident Life
Staff also leads our REZ LIFE SMALL GROUPS in our student
housing. CSU has a convocation service every other week
that is designed to connect all faculty, staff and students
to God's word.
After
our students have received the gospel and been
raised in the truths of God's word, we commission them,
RELEASE them if you will, to "go into all the world" as
ambassadors for Christ (Matthew 28:18-20)! We
don't believe that our students are the church
of tomorrow.
We believe
that they are the church of TODAY! Campus Ministries
provides a network of resources to connect students
with opportunities
to serve the local community, to minister throughout
the continental United States, and even to be
a part of international
long-term missions!
