C.J. Johnson will be a featured artist during the MOJA Arts Festival’s Heritage Day, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. in Marion Square.
Johnson, a senior majoring in graphic design, is known for his speed art. He calls his art Kolpeace, and he recently has launched clothing designs with cjforudesigns.
He will have pieces for sale throughout Heritage Day also, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Heritage Day, part of the MOJA Arts Festival, is free of charge.
The MOJA Arts Festival is a celebration of African-American and Caribbean Arts, and is sponsored by the City of Charleston’s Office of Cultural Affairs. The MOJA Arts Festival runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 9. Learn more at mojafestival.com.
