Charleston Southern University, in partnership with Palmetto Warrior Connection and the Service Women’s Action Network, is hosting a Women Veterans Wellness Event on Saturday, May 13 in the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership.
The event is free and offers breakfast along with health and wellness classes. Participants receive new goals and a free month of health coaching from Sarah Plummer Taylor, a Marine vet and health coach.
Assistant Professor of Public Health at CSU, Dr. Kate Hendricks Thomas says self-care, social support and spirituality “…are the building blocks of resilience and can help us all be better parents, friends and professionals.”
The event is from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Free, on-site childcare is provided.
