I have always had a strong passion for people and serving them. In high school both of my parents became ill and I had the opportunity to care for them and help nurture them back to health. At this point, I felt the Lord steering me towards sharing His extreme love in the health care field. After my freshman year at CSU, I went on a medical missions trip to Peru. On this trip a fellow church member, who has always been a huge inspiration to me showed me nursing at its depths. In the high Andes of South America I felt the Lord reconfirming that this was what I was made to do! Now, I see myself doing nothing else.

Growing up in a SMALL town I wanted to go to college in a bigger city. I had visited CSU while doing MFUGE with my church youth group and decided to return for a visit. When visiting the campus I felt at home. I liked the small community feel that was on campus. The Lord has taught me a lot here at CSU and I am glad that CSU was in His plan for me!

Stay in Charleston and share the love of Christ with this community. I hope to one day achieve my dreams of becoming a Certified Oncology Nurse, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner, and embark on many medical mission trips around the world. CSU’s nursing school will always be one of my homes and is forever a part of my life. My professors have well equipped me to take my nursing knowledge and faith and impact this world, and I can’t wait to do just that!
