Anita
Korbe is an Instructor in the Derry Patterson Wingo School
of Nursing at Charleston Southern University. She received
her bachelor of science in nursing from Fort Hays State
University, Hays, Kansas and her master of science in nursing
administration from the Medical University of South Carolina,
a certificate as family nurse practitioner from the Medical
University of South Carolina. Ms. Korbe is working on her
Doctorate in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University.
She teaches undergraduate courses, has developed several
nursing courses, and is designing and developing a high
fidelity simulation lab for the university.
She
is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and has served on the Governance
Board of the Gamma Omicron at-Large Chapter for 3 years.
Ms. Korbe is a member of the National League for Nurses,
the American Nurses Association, and the South Carolina
Nurses Association. She is a project member of the Quality
and Safety Education in Nursing, in which the Derry Patterson
Wingo School of Nursing is one of 15 pilot schools in the
country and funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
She is also works with the Mentorship Program for graduate
nurses with the Medical University of South Carolina.
