Title: MBA ADMISSIONS
Number: GA-1
Date of Inception: October 22, 1992
Purpose: To establish a procedure when it is impossible to calculate a student's GPR as a part of the formula for regular admission.
There are accredited institutions in the United States, as well as many international institutions, who do not record grades in a way in which a GPR can be calculated. Therefore, for those students who plan to attend the MBA program, the following process will be followed to calculate and determine regular admission.
- For all courses which must be taken as prerequisites, a GPR of 2.5 or better must be earned. This will be used as the first indicator.
- The candidate must maintain a 3.0 or better in the first nine hours of graduate work. This will be the second indicator.
- The candidate must score at the 50th percentile on the Graduate Management Admission Test. The 50th percentile ranges from 450 - 500.
If all of these criteria are met, the candidate may satisfy regular admission status.
By action of the Graduate Council on October 22, 1992.
