Title: MBA ADMISSIONS
Number: GA-1
Date of Inception: October 22, 1992

Purpose: To establish a procedure when it is impossible to calculate a student's GPR as a part of the formula for regular admission.

There are accredited institutions in the United States, as well as many international institutions, who do not record grades in a way in which a GPR can be calculated. Therefore, for those students who plan to attend the MBA program, the following process will be followed to calculate and determine regular admission.

  1. For all courses which must be taken as prerequisites, a GPR of 2.5 or better must be earned. This will be used as the first indicator.
  2. The candidate must maintain a 3.0 or better in the first nine hours of graduate work. This will be the second indicator.
  3. The candidate must score at the 50th percentile on the Graduate Management Admission Test. The 50th percentile ranges from 450 - 500.

If all of these criteria are met, the candidate may satisfy regular admission status.

By action of the Graduate Council on October 22, 1992.
