What is the Writing Center?
The
Writing Center provides students with one-on-one help
with writing and grammar. It is a place to talk about
writing problems and find solutions.
The Writing Center's Mission:
The
Writing Center’s mission is to help students learn
more about their writing through individual or small
group tutoring sessions. We help students learn to analyze
assignments, address audiences appropriately, improve
their composing processes, strengthen the focus and organization
of their writing and improve their basic grammar, usage
and mechanics. We also help students become better editors
by teaching them proofreading skills. The Writing Center’s
goal is to help students become better writers.
