Student Leadership Academy

January 18, 2017

Charleston Southern University, named one of America's Best Christian Colleges, will host a Student Leadership Summit on Wednesday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Drew Conference Center in the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership. With all the noise and confusion in today's society, Christian leadership provides a clear and clarifying voice that engages and transforms the culture. Charleston Southern's Student Leadership Academy seeks to raise a generation to find their voice so they may flourish as leaders. Not only will these young leaders have a clear vision for their future but also they will influence others to discover theirs as well.

Lewis will be the theme for featured speakers Dr. Jerry Root, Professor of Evangelism; Director of Wheaton Evangelism Initiative, Billy Graham Center for Evangelism, and one of the foremost C. S. Lewis scholars in the nation, and Bill Smith, Director of the C. S. Lewis Institute in Atlanta.

Lifeworks Charleston

LifeWorks is a conduit for Christian professionals seeking to successfully apply their faith in the marketplace.  Speaker: Wes Lane Recognized as “Prosecutor of the Year” in 2003 by the Oklahoma Gang Investigator’s Association and for “Courage in the Pursuit of Justice” by his fellow District Attorneys across the state, Wes served as the President of the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Association in 2005 and as Vice-President of the National District Attorney’s Association. In January of 2008, Wes became President of the Burbridge Foundation, a Christian foundation dedicated to offering solutions to prevalent cultural problems that are impacting our families and our communities. Cost $25/seat $175/ table of 8. Time: 7:30am.

God in the Workplace is being offered in a monthly workshop format, presented 8 out of 12 months of the year. Workshops will rotate between Harbour Club and CSU as our location sites. Workshop Cost: $20/person or $100/table of six and includes breakfast and materials. Time: 7:15am – 8:45am

Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences Annual Meeting

May 31-June 3, 2017

The Association of Christians in the Mathematical Sciences was founded in 1977 as a network of Christian mathematicians dedicated to integrating mathematics with faith and promoting quality teaching.  The organization has since expanded to include the whole scope of mathematical sciences, including Computer Science.  The Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership is honored to host the ACMS Biennial Conference.
